Safe to change Transaction ID? - by: Brian F

I noticed that the Transaction ID field is showing now when editing a registrant; is it safe to change that to something else? In our case, we're accepting checks using the offline payment plugin and would like to edit a registrant to enter the check number in the Transaction ID field.

Out of curiosity, is there any issue with changing the PayPal transaction ID when editing a registrant? We're not needing to, just curious for future reference. Didn't know there was any interaction between PayPal after the transaction has been completed?
