The Edocman developer team are proud to announce the release of Edocman 1.11.0. This is a first release for the 1.11.x series of Edocman with new improvements.

What new in Edocman 1.11.0
1. Add Ajax upload function at front-end side
In previous versions, you can only use Ajax Upload (Drag & Drop) at Back-end side, but from Edocman 1.11.0, you will able to use Ajax upload function at front-end side.
Now, Edocman will have 3 options to add documents at front-end
  • Default upload form (With full information)
  • Simple upload form (With main information fields)
  • Ajax Upload
You can select one suitable option for your Edocman system. To select Ajax Upload mode at front-end side, please go to Edocman Configuration -> Tab: Themes -> Field: Upload document upload form

As Back-end side, the Ajax Upload function at front-end will have 2 steps

2. Enter information for the document before it is saved

2. Add sort function for User documents layout
You can click on title of User documents table to sort documents by Title, Created date or file size.

4. Add option to delete folder of category when it is removed
From Edocman 1.11.0, you can select to remove category's directory when it is removed, of course, the folder will only be removed when it is empty. To turn on this option, please go to Edocman Configuration -> Tab: General -> Turn on option: "Remove category folder when it is removed"

5. Add option to show Error 404 when the physical file of document isn't exists
From now, when you download document on local server and it isn't existing, the 404 Error page will be shown instead of white blank page as previous.

6. Some minor issues fixed

As you know, there are various important improvements in Edocman 1.11.0, so we are strongly recommend you to upgrade Edocman to latest version to get new features and resolved issues.

G'day,

Is it possible to add a 'purchase order' field to the offline payment system.

As I deal with government organisations, they always prefer to pay with a purchase order. It would be great to have a field that allows the purchaser to enter their purchase order number (as payment), add an attached copy of the purchase and provide the 'quote' number they may have be previously given.

eg.


  • Purchase Order
    • Purchase_order_no:123456
    Attachment: purchase_order.pdf
    Eshop quote: 2018001

    "Unknown column 'ev.main_category_id' in 'field list'"

    Hello,
    I am very interested in Event Booking, but I would like to be sure that it will fully meet my needs, we want to use this component to manage pre-registrations for training. :
    - Is it possible to see the back office in demo mode?
    - Is it possible to propose several dates and that the visitor can choose the desired date (drop-down menu) in the same event?
    - Is it possible to provide a PDF in the description of the event?
    - Is it possible to put files as attachments in notifications received by email after a pre-registration?
    - The training will not be paid at the time of pre-registration. Is it possible to validate this pre-registration without payment and to provide a quote?
    - Is it possible to cancel the pre-registration and make the space available for another person?

    First of all, nice work on component, I like the simplicity of it.

    After initial test of component and additional payment plugin (Moneris) I was able to create test payments and all checks out. But then, I've realized if website I'm adding this payment option to handles Card Holder Data (CHD) it needs to be PCI compliant. Which makes sense to me, I don't want to be blamed for any data breach, especially when it comes to credit card data.

    So, as a potential solution Hosted Payment Pages (HPP) can be used. Where you push all the forms data to payment providers and redirects payee to their system to complete transaction there. Once that is done, redirect back to website that initiated this whole process and update local database record with transaction data.

    As far as I can tell, Moneris Payment Plugin does not support HPP. If using PMF, how did you handle PCI compliance?

    The webiste I'm working on is on shared hosting and those will never be PCI compliant, you'll need dedicated server for that. But that means steep monthly costs for small businesses (expected annual revenue from pmf payments are less than $10,000).

    If I choose the Select (I assume dropdown) this will be displayed but not as a dropdown.

    Hi. I installed the component and set up a shop. Everything is working, except when users get to the checkout screen.

    I see there is a module, but would that mean I'd have to create a menu item for checkout and assign it on that menu item?

    How should I show cart info on the checkout page?

    I want to update my plugin membership pro (current version 2.6.1 )and event booking (version 2.11.1) to latest update.
    but i am getting this error.

    I don't want to install manually as i have override plugins code. and i want to test it with new update.

    I would like to customize a bit the mapping between Bootsrap 2 and Bootstrap 4 css classes.

    I've discovered that this mapping is made in the following file: /administrator/components/com_joomdonation/libraries/osf/ui/bootstrap4.php

    Is it possible to override this file in my template. I mean to avoid hacking JoomDonation and loss any modification after update.

    Our client takes 30-50 registrations as offline payments to be settled by cheque later.

    I can't see a way of editing the payment date on the registration so that they can reconcile bank deposits for the month.
